Day 01 : Yangon-Kyaikhtiyo ( B, L, D )
Morning departure to Kyaikhtiyo (Gold Rock) 160 km to the
north-east of Yangon across Ayeyarwaddy delta with rice
fields and many little villages. To reach hotel from the
base camp Kinpun, road leads to the Rathetaung camp by open
truck. And then, trekking (approximately about 45 min) to
the Gold Rock pagoda which is a huge boulder completely
covered with gold and delicately balanced on the edge of a
cliff. Dinner and overnight at hotel. |
Day 02 : Kyaikhtiyo-Bago-Yangon ( B, L, D )
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast drive down to the
base camp Kinpun and then drive back to Bago, Lunch at local
restaurant. Sightseeing at Bago includes ShweThalyaung: the
55 meter long reclining Buddha, Bago colourful local market,
Shwe Maw Daw pagoda and Kyeikpun Pagoda with the four giant
sitting Buddha images. Return back to Yangon.
